As you can see, I have my work cut out for me as far as getting this space cleared out to make room for a “studio”.
I will post a few more detailed pictures later.
This room was once our media room, or as I called it, “The Movie Room”. It boasted a Panasonic TH-65PF12UK 65″ Professional Plasma Display, along with 2,400 watts via a pair of Carver M 1.5t Power Amps and THX Surround EX™ (Dolby Digital EX), with Bose surrounds plus Yamaha subwoofers and Klipsch Systems.
Originally, this system was with Bose surrounds and an Altec A7-Voice of the Theater, but I sold the A7’s due to noise complaints and the fact it was in fact overkill for such a small (3600ftsq) space.
I need to find my custom designed 10′ background paper support rods for one thing, which seem to have gone missing….
Next, I need to put away a bunch of the clutter as seen in this picture: battery charger, air compressor, JBL loudspeaker cabinets, dj coffin and turntables ( Technics 1200 plus Numark mixer), assorted art works, sofa table, various crates of props, etc.
More later!
Sorry I haven’t added anything here in a while.
This is why I did not want to start a blog: I have nothing to say!
I am really extremely opinionated and outspoken. I can talk about politics, and the weather all day … I just wanted to keep my post here on the topic of photography.
I am also a bit depressed now that I don’t have a dedicated studio in which to shoot.
I AM working on a possible solution to convert my home Media Room into a small studio. I will start to document my progress on that project here.
So, I will have a home photography studio. At the very least I will be able to do table top work … and portrait headshots and ¾ portraits… maybe full body, if I use a 50mm lens. It’s going to be a challenge to get quality work from such a small, cramped space, but I do love a challenge.
I’m going to get started on this conversion right away and I’ll post pictures of the progress along the way.
World Says Goodbye to 2009
Around the world, the New Year kicked off with a bang..
with parties and prayers from Sydney to the Vatican city.
The world finally said farewell to the decade that will forever be known as the noughties.
Hello world!
I don’t know what happened to my old blog. It quit working! I think I must have accidentally deleted my database or something! After days and days of trouble-shooting, I decided to simply re-install the blog and start over.
